Selling a business is something you probably only do once in a lifetime. And it’s an extensive process that doesn’t just happen overnight. It involves a lot of preparation, patience and knowledge. Of course, every acquisition is customised but we’re happy to tell you what we think is important and what you can expect from us.

OUR APPROACH

1. EXPLORATORY MEETINGS


We hold various exploratory meetings so we can get to know the entrepreneur and their business. What is the business culture like? How many employees does the business have? How are the various departments organised? We both also sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure that confidential figures and sensitive business information can be exchanged in complete confidentiality. This enables us to check each other’s requirements and needs and whether both sides have a positive feeling about the acquisition.

2. PROPOSAL AND DECLARATION OF INTENT


We produce a good and fitting financial and business proposal. As well as offering a good market price, EyeCare Group offers various additional benefits to facilitate the acquisition. We aim to keep your business intact as far as possible. After agreeing on the basic conditions and the financial proposal, we produce a Statement of Intent in which we record the preliminary agreements we’ve made. In doing so, we take into account the owner or former owner’s specific wishes, as these can vary for each acquisition.

3. CLOSURE AND ACQUISITION


Finally, we produce a purchase agreement once financial checks have shown that there’s nothing standing in the way of a successful acquisition. After both parties have signed this, we raise a glass to celebrate the good result. You’re bound to be curious about what happens next. We make sure that we retain the name of your business, with which you built a reputation in your region and in which you worked so hard for so many years. Little will change for your employees, either. And as entrepreneur, you decide how long you want to stay on board and in what role.
